Dr. Zohreh Sadeghi is the co-founder of Roha Institute of Ayurvedic Living. Her journey with Ayurveda started back in 2010 when she moved to Kerala, India, to study Ayurveda and experience an Ayurvedic Panchakarma (detox therapy) for the very first time. That trip changed her life forever.

After struggling with numerous ailments and diagnoses throughout her life—suffering with chronic pain, regular doctors appointments, non-stop emergency room visits—she finally decided to take her healing into her own hands. Ayurveda helped her get to know her entire being in order to heal her deepest and most painful wounds. And Ayurveda empowered her to believe in herself. For the first time in years, she felt completely healthy in her body and mind.

She also realized that her ultimate Dharma (purpose) is to spread that same joy, the joy of Ayurveda, to others. That experience still guides her philosophy: cultivating joy and peace through the practice of Ayurveda.

Zohreh established Roha Center For The Healing Arts in 2016, the first holistic wellness center in San Francisco to offer a completely authentic Ayurvedic experience. She performed Panchakarmas and a full range of Ayurvedic therapies. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she closed her center at the end of 2020 and decided to take Ayurveda on the road with her, to combine it with her passion for traveling. As the pandemic stabilized, she traveled the world (Iran, Europe, India, South Africa), practicing Ayurveda, holding workshops, facilitating retreats, and teaching courses. Through these experiences, she discovered that teaching brings her the utmost joy.

In 2022, Zohreh joined Folk SF, formerly known as Yoga Garden San Francisco as the resident Ayurvedic Doctor, teaching the Ayurvedic portion for the Yoga Teacher Training programs, holding regular workshops, and facilitating various trainings. She also continues to travel and spread the knowledge of Ayurveda everywhere she goes.

Zohreh holds a BFA in Graphic Design from CCA (California College of The Arts), and a Doctorate degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from AUCM (American University of Complementary Medicine).
